There are many activities we can offer young people to assist them to gain self-confidence.

When working with groups of young people there are activities we can offer which assist them to gain self-confidence.
BOOSTING SELF-CONFIDENCE:
POSITIVE MIND-SET:
Help them to find the good in all situations and in other persons.
Help them learn to smile and laugh.
Activities to boost a positive mind-set:
-Evaluations – constructive feedback.
-Kudos-comment on what others did well in the session.
-Jokester role – shares jokes.
SELF-AWARENESS:
Encourage them to be proud of their strengths.
Note the impact they have on others.
Activities to boost self-awareness:
-Share a photo of the week.
-Answer impromptu questions.
-Give a presentation.
-Evaluations/feedback about the session..
-Kudos where they inform the group members what others have done well.
EMOTIONAL STABILITY:
Encourage them to be aware of their emotions.

FLEXIBILITY IN BEHAVIOUR:
Offer them the opportunities to break habits and patterns by being spontaneous.

IMPROVE COMMUNICATION:

Invite them to be inquisitive about how things work.

Ask them what they have found out about a situation and what they will do to keep discovering.

DIRECTION AND VALUES:
Talk about future possibilities and encourage bold dreams.
Keep their expectations high about what is possible.
Acknowledge all the things they do well.
