When we learn in-depth about their challenges, we can assist more effectively.

Our philosophy is to lead with love when working with youth.
In today’s world we are not fully aware of the pressures and challenges that face our youth.
As adults, we often think we know what’s best. We tend to tell them what they should do.
However it is better when we understand their viewpoints.
When we learn about and understand their circumstances, we can be of more assistance.
We need to have empathy with the challenges they are facing.
We can encourage, guide, and assist them to overcome their fears.
By leading with love, we can have a positive effect on them which will assist them as they grow up.
EXAMPLES OF HOW WE CAN LEAD WITH LOVE:

Learn about the participant’s challenges, fears, skills and aspirations.

Listen in depth to what they are saying about their lives.

Lead by being a positive role model.

Language and communication are key skills to learn and practice.

Organize the sessions to encourage participation and cooperation.

Ownership – Have them contribute and take ownership of the group activities.

Operate with the highest level of integrity and honesty.

Voice – Help participants find their voice and share their stories with each other.

Verbalize – Promote presenting their ideas and thoughts in written and spoken word.

Variety – Have participants of different ages, backgrounds and cultures work together.

Encourage their creativity, contribution and participation. This will develop their talents and strengths.

Evaluations and feedback assist them in motivating others. This enables them to practice their communication and leadership skills

Entrepreneurship mindset is a key to their future success.
These are some ideas and approaches that we can put in place to show our youth love and that we care.
This will encourage them to be the best they can be and to have a wonderful future.
This can be our approach as we facilitate online group sessions for the youth, our future leaders.
