THE FUTURE JOB MARKET:

• There will be a full-scale revolution in jobs in the next two decades.

• Jobs will likely become more accessible, flexible, and liberating.

• Artificial intelligence and robotics will create more work, not less.

• The majority of the workforce will freelance by 2027.

• Working remotely will become the norm.

• People will have the freedom to live where they want.

• Cities and metropolitan areas will compete to attract this new mobile labour force.

• There won’t be a shortage of jobs but there could be a shortage of skilled people to fill those jobs.

• Learning new skills will be an ongoing necessity throughout life.

• We need to review what to do to ensure the best, most inclusive outcomes.

• Our current education system is slow to adapt and is ineffective for this new world.

• A path to training and support is needed to enable people to thrive in this future work.
